Softball's List of Accomplishments Grows as Season Hits Midway Point
The Choctaws have four weeks left in the regular season before they enter into tournament play on May 1.

The MC softball team advanced to 24-5 after defeating Shorter 11-1, 11-3, and 16-0 during their series last weekend in Rome, Ga.
In game one of the Shorter series, senior McCall Lee and sophomore Shelby Samples led the team in hits with three apiece. Kamryn Eaton led the team in game two with three hits, and Jordan LaFosse led the team with three hits in the last game of the series.
During the final game of the series, Lee set the college’s career record for runs batted in. She now needs only one more home run to tie MC’s all-time home run record. Lee hit her 44th career double earlier in the season, continuing her reign as the all-time doubles leader. She’s also the school’s all-time hits leader with 202.
Lee was not the only one earning accolades for Mississippi College, though. The Choctaws are currently ranked 10th in the country in NCAA Division II, coming off of a season peak at 8th. Coach Brooke O’Hair reached 500 career wins during the team’s double header against West Florida, and Cam Bailey won the GSC Pitcher of the Week award for her performance in the series.
MC is currently 10-5 in conference play. The team lost one game to Alabama Huntsville, two games to Auburn Montgomery, one game to West Florida, and one game to Montevallo.
The Choctaws have four weeks left in the regular season before they enter into tournament play on May 1. The Choctaws travel to West Alabama this Friday and Saturday to face off against the Tigers.
